"Great for Newborns, Not for Bigger Babies" 2009-09-17
By Allie G (Washington, DC)
I had a couple of these diapers in size XS when my daughter was a newborn and I LOVED them. They fit great, were available in such gorgeous colors and they laundered well. Because of the great experience I purchased some in size Small.

The Small size worked for a bit, but then my daughter started peeing less often and with more intensity. These diapers could NOT keep up. Within an hour she would completely drench the entire diaper to the point that the PUL cover (Thirsties) would leak. I never had this issue with any other fitted diaper in my stash.

I highly recommend this diaper for newborns, but don't think it's thick enough to handle older babies.

 "Makes a good gift!" 2009-05-22
By Beagle (Mississippi)
I am giving these as a gift - I think they will really like them. These seem to be very durable and easy to use - you put them on just like the disposables! Very bright color and very soft fabric, if I was a baby I don't think I would mind having them on my booty! :)

 "Thirsties fab fitted" 2009-05-13
By Lynn S. Glynn (San Diego, CA)
These are great, soft cushy and comfy for the baby as well as being as easy to use as disposables. We have had no blowouts as are common with cloth prefolded diapers.

"My go-to diapers when I need something I can really rely on..." 2009-05-07
By erin
We have been using Thirsties Fab Fitted diapers in combo with their diaper covers for over 18 months now. This is a no fail combination...I can honestly say, in all this time, we have maybe sprung a leak only a handful of times. The diaper becomes completely saturated, but never escapes. I add a hemp insert at night, and we are good to go! The biggest selling point for us was the stay-dry lining...keeps my baby comfy, dry, and rash-free. Also, the velcro closures make changes quick and provides a snug fit. Thirsties Fab Fitteds are among the most affordable fitted diapers on the market. Fitted diapers are not as convenient as All-in-Ones, but I find them to be more reliable.

"Cloth diapering made EASY! absolutely love!" 2009-03-26
By Mom of all boys (USA)
I wasn't a huge fan of cloth diapering at first. I thought it would be a lot of work and I'd have a big leaky mess all of the time.... Boy was I wrong. A neighbor gave me her 'hand me downs' and I loved them so much I bought more. These diapers are absolutely wonderful and I use them with the Bummis super brite diaper covers and they work very well, a must try.

"Thirsties are just as good as bumkins" 2009-09-24
By Ashley G. Bawol (Tappahannock, VA)
I've used cloth and disposable diapers, and I'd rate leakage as the same. When choosing a diaper cover, I got Thirsties myself and was given Bumkins at my shower. They offer the same leak protection, and the Bumkins have this mesh panel at the back to help you check for leaks that only seems to encourage leaks to happen. Just be careful to follow the washing instructions by not putting them in the dryer, and they'll last you till the next size up!

"Nice fit - subpar construction" 2009-09-19
By S. Mann (St. Paul, MN USA)
We found that the design of Thirsties fit our skinny children exceptionally well. This was terrific. Despite following the manufacturer's instructions on washing, these have not held up. Unfortunately the elastic and velcro failed after a few months, unlike many other brands of cover (Bummis and ProWraps are a better bargain). Not only were we unable to use these for our second child, they had to be replaced before the first child was potty trained.

If you don't mind having to replace your covers every few months, they might work just fine.

"Great diaper cover, but "melon" color is not accurately named" 2009-09-13
By Mrs. E / Teacher & Mom (Seattle, WA USA)
If you are looking for a diaper cover that is easy to clean (meaning that it has a wipe-able, waterproof surface inside as opposed to a layer of cloth), this is a great choice. Of all the covers I purchased (Bummis Super Brite, Prowrap, Imse Vimse, and this) this Thirsties cover is my favorite. It's designed very similarly to the Bummis Super Brite, but for some reason the leg webbing covers better (I find myself having to shove less of the cloth diaper back behind the webbing). The only reason I gave it four stars is because I thought this "melon" color would be a nice orange. It is not a "nice" orange; it's practically fluorescent! It's far closer to the color of a hunting jacket than the inside of a cantaloupe (where I have to imagine they got the name "melon" from). It doesn't matter so much since it's always covered by my daughter's clothing; it's just not what I was expecting.

"Thirsties Diaper Cover is great" 2009-09-12

The diaper cover looks great. The material is softer than I thought, and should be gentle on baby's delicate skin. I couldn't wait to use it.

"One Design Flaw, but otherwise Perfect!" 2009-09-12
By W. Edwards (Spokane, WA)
These things are great! I've never had a blow out with them or any leaks. But they do SEEP, and if you're not careful, the can soak EVERYTHING on or near baby.

What happens is this: the inside of the diaper is waterproof - awesome. But the nice white edging on the diaper is all cloth. As such, it's very soft on baby's skin, but it is also very absorbent. So if moisture from a wet pre-fold diaper seeps onto the edging, it soaks the edging and then the edging soaks baby's clothes and everything baby has on. And this happens often because of the silly little sizing tag that hangs down in the back of the diaper. The tag will get wet, then the wet seeps onto the edging, then the wet edging seeps onto clothes, blankets, etc. Ugh.

The solution is simple - just cut the tags out. Or it would have been easier for Thirsties to make them with printed in tags so you don't have to guess as to the size when you cut the tags out.

Otherwise:

Fit: great! They fit pre-folds lovely. Very adjustable. I've never seen a blow out.

Clean up: Urine is no problem. I find that nearly every poo requires me to change the cover also and wash it, but the poo stays in the cover and does not leak. Since the covers are cheap, I bought 6 of each size I need. (I do about a load of whites a day, so a few are always being cleaned.)

Washability: GREAT! these things have gone through the washer so many times and still look fine. they haven't stained for me.

Comfort: no diaper rash and counting. and baby doesn't have wrinkles on her butt like she gets from disposables

Hassle: for a cloth diaper, minimal. pre-folds (Well, at least the ones I use) don't "wick" away moisture, so I never leave her in them for long, so I change her diapers more often with the cloth. I do NOT travel with these or leave them for sitters. these are at-home, mom-or-dad-on-duty only diapers. but since that's most of the day, it's awesome.

Economy: great! they hold up, last for a long time with adjustability, and were cheap for a very nice product

Looks: they do give baby a big butt, but seriously, it's not like baby has a really svelte figure anyhow. they do require me to dress her a size bigger for a good fit, though.

OVERALL: nice! just fix that stupid tag in the back thing and these would be perfect (but again, you can just cut them out)
